How was the 100-company ranking built?
The ranking is a static snapshot dated August 29, 2026. It combines the DM Faster company registry, official PRH identifiers, and company-level public financial observations.
1. Defining the IT market
The candidate population includes active Finnish limited companies whose main industry or reviewed offering belongs to software, IT services, data processing, cloud, or digital infrastructure.
2. PRH identity verification
Every published row was matched to a current official name and Business ID in PRH Open Data. Registered foreign branches, ended entities, and duplicate identifiers were removed.
3. Financial observation
Each company received its latest trusted legal-entity revenue observation from DM Faster company data. The fiscal year remains visible row by row.
4. Ranking and quality control
The 1,235 comparable entities were sorted by revenue. The top 100 was reviewed for activity, reporting scope, duplicates, and exceptional figures before publication.
Limitations you should read
- This is a reviewed market slice from DM Faster company data, not an official Statistics Finland census of every IT company operating in Finland.
- The ranking covers Finnish legal entities. International group revenue and parent-company figures reported by registered foreign branches are excluded.
- Separate Finnish legal entities belonging to the same group or brand may appear as separate rows. Accenture and Digia, for example, each have more than one Finnish entity in the ranking.
- The latest comparable revenue observations cover fiscal years 2023, 2024, and 2025. The year is shown row by row and the figures should not be interpreted as same-year market shares.
- The scope covers software, IT services, data, cloud, and data-processing infrastructure. Manually reviewed IT companies were also admitted from other main-industry classes.
- Pure holding companies, telecom operators, media companies, hardware-only sellers without material IT services, and obvious misclassifications were excluded. Some diversified companies may still fall outside the scope.
- Personnel values are observations from public financial sources. One company has no available personnel figure, and the total should not be treated as global group headcount.
- Revenue measures legal-entity size, not product quality, growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, or suitability for a particular procurement.
